A Dance of Dragons is a 36x36 inch original acrylic painting inspired by the beauty and mystery of dragons soaring through a storm-filled sky. Sweeping brushstrokes of deep blue, violet, lavender, and warm golden light create an atmospheric sky filled with movement, while two dragons emerge against the glowing center of the composition.
The painting explores the feeling of looking upward and witnessing something extraordinary—a fleeting moment where storm clouds, lightning, and light come together as two dragons move freely through the sky. Layered brushwork creates the soft, shifting quality of the clouds, while bright lightning cuts through the darker atmosphere and draws the eye toward the dragons at the heart of the piece.
At three feet square, A Dance of Dragons is designed as a statement artwork. Its large scale allows the sweeping movement of the sky to surround the viewer, creating the feeling of stepping beneath the storm and witnessing the scene firsthand.
Inspired by fantasy, mythology, and the timeless fascination with dragons, this original painting brings a sense of movement, wonder, and adventure to a space.
